As the pages of a book are turned, a child`s world is broadened.
Knowledge is valuable for many reasons: it sparks children`s creativity and imagination; introduces them to new people, places, and ideas; builds their vocabulary and strengthens their use of language. In short, books help children reach out to the world beyond home and community and perceive an ever-expanding array of possibilities.
Orientations toward books and reading develop early in life. Pleasant, happy experiences with books and stories during the formative years are vital for a continuing love and curiosity into adulthood.
Keeping in mind the importance of books in the formative years of a Child’s education, we have introduced a series of books collectively called the Young Discoverer Series. These are series of books based on science and nature, which cover topics under Life sciences, Earth Sciences and Physical Sciences. Each book has an assortment of sections whereby information is provided categorically and in a fun filled manner. The sections are as follows: Almanac, Amazing But True, At-A-Glance, Careers, Eyewitness Account, Fun & Fantastic, Heroes, Map, Scrapbook, Scientist’s Notebook, Solve-it-Yourself Mystery, Table, Picture This, Timeline, Virtual Voyage, Questions & Answers, Your World-Your Turn, etc.
For example an Almanac is a ready reckoner, which provides facts and figures, Virtual Voyage is where the reader plays a role in a scientific process or phenomenon to understand how things exactly happen.
There are also plenty of science experiments and activities, enabling a fun-filled and exciting learning experience.
