India is a land of great pluralism. Huge diversity. But, amazingly, the mirror of the nations soul reflects a remarkable unity, total one-ness in the picture. How has this, one is tempted to ask, happened? Through the hard, sincere efforts of wise people like Prince Dara Shikoh.
Interestingly, a grand experiment to unite our people started by some wise people in the past and taken up pretty seriously by his great grandfather Akbar, was carried out by the enlightened Prince Dara Shikoh too. The present book is a strategy to do the work.
The clear message that echoes from each word of the book is: Hindus and Muslims should meet and mingle as the two waters of two oceans do when they come together.
The vested interests divide people “ for their own good. The wise men unite them- for the people™s good. Prince Muhammad Dara Shikoh belongs to the latter category- he gives correct message to both, Hindus as well as Muslims, albeit implicitly: fight and be damned; unite and be happy!
