The course contents of the book entitled, `Engineering Mechanics` have been planned in such a way that the book covers the complete course of first year students of all disciplines of Rajasthan Technical University, Rajasthan, Kota.
The book contains following five units :
Unit I : Laws of Mechanics, Force Systems, Support Reactions and Truss.
Unit II : Friction, Belt Friction and Principle of Virtual Work.
Unit III : Centre of Gravity, Moment of Inertia, Lifting Machines and Transmission of Power.
Unit IV : Kinematics of Particles, Dynamics of Particle and Rigid Bodies.
Unit V : Work and Energy, Impulse and Momentum and Vibrations.
he students face difficulty in understanding clearly the basic principles, fundamental concepts and theory without adequate solved problems along with the text.
