Since the variables and parameters in Power System Analysis are complex by nature, the analysis is quite tedious for long hand computations even for a simple system such as a two machine system. MATLAB is an appropriate software suitable for mathematical analysis irrespective of the size of the system. To initiate the student to software based analysis, an introduction to MATLAB has been included.
