This book has made an attempt to govern the entitlements and service conditions of the running staff. It has been divided into five parts : First part deals with the running allowance rules, Second part on ten instructions of the Railway Booard, Third covers the incorporation of the rules and orders relating to duty hours, recruitment, promotion, traning, etc. Fourth deals with the instructions of the Railway Board regarding the scheme for posts of Loco Running Supervisors, and lastly, micellaneous instruction of the Railway Board relevant to the running staff.
