  Dr. Suba Chandran is Assistant Director of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS), New Delhi.
He was a visiting Ford Foundation Fellow at the Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International
Security (ACDIS) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003.

He is working on India’s Security Problematique at IPCS, and is also researching jointly with Rizwan Zeb, a Pakistani scholar, on Creating Ripe Conditions to Resolve Indo-Pak Conflicts as part of a Regional Centre for Strategic Studies Mahb-ul-Haq award. Chandran earned his Ph.D. at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and his M.A. and M.Phil. at Madras Christian College, Chennai.

Chandran’s research interests include Pakistan, Kashmir, and suicide terrorism. Some of his recent publications include the co-edited volumes Terrorism Post 9/11: An Indian Perspective (New Delhi: Manohar Publishers, 2003) and Terrorism and its Repercussions on International Politics (New Delhi: IPCS and FES, 2003).
