This textbook introduces the students to the science and technology of powder metallurgy including the treatment of ceramic powders and powders of some intermetallic compounds. It describes the raw materials needed for powder metallurgy technology and discusses the various methods of production of metal powders and non-metallic powders, and explains their characteristics as well. The book also deals with the technological aspects of compacting and sintering.
