This edition of `A Textbook of Engineering Materials and Metallurgy` is based on the latest syllabus for B.E./B.Tech., Mechanical, Production Engineering and Mechatronics as per Anna University as well as other universities. It is a valuable asset for A.M.I.E. students. It consists of eight chapters in all, covering exhaustively the various topics in different chapters of the complete syllabus. Besides this, the book also contains `Creep Test and Hardening Test` to apprise the students about the practical aspects of the subject. This book is an attempt to provide all necessary information about Crystal Structure and Heat Treatment Process. The subject matter has been Presented in a simple and systematic way with numerous diagrams so as to enable thorough understanding of the topics. The presentation of the subject matter is very systematic and the language of text is lucid, direct and easy to understand. Inclusion of the chapter Non Metallic Materials is useful and gives additional weightage to this book. Each chapter of the book is saturated with much needed text supported by neat and self-explanatory diagrams to make the subject self-speaking to a great extent. Important questions have been added in all the chapters. A detailed Glossary has been added to make the book a complete unit in all respects. Table Of Contents : 1. Crystal Structure2.
