Community Medicine is becoming a subject of paramount importance, and it is engulfing practically all aspects of medicine, whether these are preventive, social curative or otherwise. Thus the importance of such a book need not be stressed upon. The author, Dr. Vidya Ratan, in addition to being a medical practitioner has more than 25 years active association in tackling the medico-social problems, being the founder member of one of the pioneer voluntary Welfare Organizations in Delhi, named `Lok Kalyan Samitri`.
