This volume is the product of a collective effort of the Lawyers Collective HIV/AIDS Unit. Since its inception in 1981, the Lawyers Collective has fought for the rights of the disadvantaged sections of society. The HIV/AIDS work of the Lawyers Collective has been premised on human rights and this volume builds on the work, and has been informed by the thoughts and approaches that have evolved over the last several years at the HIV/AIDS Unit.
