S.Sagaya Doss, simple nature but serious in duties, has dedicated his life for learning, teaching and doing research in Economics for more than 10 years. He graduated in economics from Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur and did his M.Phil degree in Loyola College, Chennai. After acquiring M.Phil degree he joined the Department of Economics, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur. He was awarded PhD degree by the University of Madras for his thesis on the Economics Analysis of Health Care Services.In the college he has served as President of Economics Association, President of Fine Arts Club, member of the Examination Committee and member of the library committee.At present he is working on two minor research projects; one project titled Reproductive Health Status of Rural Women funded by UGC and another project titled Socio Economics and Health Status of Servant Maids funded by Malcom Adhisesheya Trust, Chennai..
