Records Management, in various forms, has been a concern across many cultures for centuries. Archival science is the study and practice of preserving, organizing and providing access to information and materials in archives. Archives contain primary source documents that have accumulated over the course of an individual or organization?s lifetime, and are kept to show the function of an organization. Archives are social constructs and their origins lie in the information needs and social values of the governments. The National Archives of India play a more dynamic and role model in the archival field of the entire country.
