barely four decades ago , America was at war with its own self- a nation torn asunder by its inability to reconcile itself with its intrinsic self, fighting to find its own true identity, struggling to establish peace at global level but unable to do so in its own backyard. The kaleidoscope of colors that distinguished the various sections of the American people themselves whose mutual antipathy was the root cause o fcenturies of internal conflict, dissebtion contradictions and bloodshed, earned fo ritself the epithet of the nation of murderers - a people who murdered there own president, shot its own Nobel Laurate, killed its budding presidential candiate and ahost of Black Nationalistswho were discriminitated against because of the colour of their skin. The oppression and revolting cruelties inflicted an Black Christians by White Christians painted a bright red blemish on the face of the White Christians. India`s Mahatma Gandhi having experienced the humilitations of second class citizenship in South Africa because of colour of his skin returned India as a Messiah not only for the emancipation of the low cast Hindus but also to set sun on the mighty British Empire. Likewise , Black America found its own brand of Gandhi: Dr. Martin Luther Kind who struggled for racial equality and democracy.
