South Africa, the rainbow nation is an economic engineer for the south African continent. The first general elections held in 1994 gave the African national Congress a thumping victory in seven out of nine provinces. A coalition comprising the ANC, Inkatha Freedom Party and the National Party formed the first democratic government . What was the mood of the nation? What were the aspirations of the people?
