Undoubtedly, there is profoundly colonialist nature of Chinese rule in Tibet. The Chinese themselves view Tibet in colonial term by asserting not as part of China proper, but as no Chinese territory which China has a right to own and exploit, on the basis of relationship that existed 700 years ago, or best, 200 years ago. This attitude is evident already from the title of the Chinese government`s White Paper, which refers to ownership of Tibet.
