This volume on Professional Ethics is based on the syllabus of Anna University prescribed for young engineering undergraduates. Many aspects of engineering profession and ideas about ethics have been briefed here which may very well serve the needs of the students and teachers as a simplified guide to teaching and learning different aspects of professional ethics.Some sample cases have been discussed from the ethical point of view. This will help to enhance the understanding of the basics of values, morals and ethics.A separate section on Human Values has been added which will help one to think and understand ethics better. To emphasize certain points, a large number of short questions and answers along with a few model question papers are given at the end to make the students competent and comfortable to answer specific questions and analyse specific cases based on concepts of ethics.
