Money laundering is a crime of recent origin. Its social, political and economic implications are far and wide. While the international dimensions of anti money laundering measures are captured by Dr. Francis Julian, Professor Pillai tries to evaluate the efficacy of the Indian Legislation. The role of the banks and the technological aspects of money laundering are examined in depth in the book. All the documents on prevention of money laundering such as the enactment, rules and the notifications issued by the Government of India have been put in the appendix making it a self-contained comprehensive work.
