This concise, and easy to read book is a description of the popular history of the reigns of the Mughal kings. The book starts with a chapter on Taimur, the Mughals always referred to their dynasty as Timurid, and never Mughal. The subsequent chapter notice Babar, Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Nur Jahan, Shah Jahan, and the book ends with Aurangzeb. There are 13 illustrations in this book, primarily portraits of the rulers described. The span of the narrative is between 1398 and 1707 AD.
