The book is divided in to 5 sections : the first area to be noticed is Europe, and includes the colonies of Gibraltar, East Friesland., Isle of Man, Malta etc.; then Asia is described, and the colonies noted include India, Ceylon, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Mauritius etc; Next is Africa that includes Gold Coast, Sierra Leone, St. Helena, the Cape Colony etc. American colonies describe early American coinage, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Canada, West Indies, etc; Australasia is the concluding section of this book and includes, apart from the continent, Tasmania and New Zealand. This book is a reprint of the 1889 edition.
