The late Dr. Burnell translated Hindu Polity (the ordiances of Manu) from Sanskrit literature. Indian Book has been better known for the last hundred years nearly than the so-called “Laws of Manu,” and many people it is still the decisive authority respecting India. Numerous and important as have been the discoveries in Sanskrit literature during this century. It is chiefly based on references to Manu in Vedas, Brhaspati – Smrti etc. Such as: Whatever Manu said is curative. It is time to explain the real nature of the Manavadharma castra.
