On the day of G.K. Moopanar`s demise I was in New Delhi and I was not able to attend his funeral, but, on the subsequent day, I attended the rituals for the disposal of the ashes from the place of cremation. When I came to the spot where G.K. Moopanar had been cremated, his interactions with me came to me as glimpses. It was always a joy to hold conversation with G.K. Moopanar. I was so fortunate to have conversed with him on many critical issues of politics, and Society on many occasions. I enjoyed the conversation on all occasions. I have met many Political party Leaders in my life. On all the occasions, baring a few, the majority of the political leaders used to speak and make others listen. But G.K. Moopanar was an exception. He was a good listener. He was extraordinarily patient to listen to the Views of others. Even while listening he used to intervene softly and gently to make others feel comfortable. One could find a tinge of sarcasm also at times.
