Description: Fast Forward Maths is an intensive programme of activities specifically designed to boost the numeracy skills of Level 3 attainers up to Level 4, targeting areas of common weakness. The emphasis is on having fun while learning, and the short activity strands which run through each unit involve purposeful games and challenges. Each unit includes seven strands: Warm up – workout! Word Work, Skills Builder, Question Cracker, Solve It, Game On and Let’s Investigate. Together, these provide an incremental development of the skills required in mathematics to raise pupils from Level 3 to Level 4.
The use of Fast Forward Maths will form part of an interactive teaching approach recommended by the National Numeracy Strategy.
